The cost to open a Cityscapes licensed affiliate is relatively inexpensive, considering that it is $100,000 total, which provides a turn key operation from the Computers and phone systems, right down to the stationery and business cards. Since most franchise start up fees can run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars which often times is only the cost of the name brand, a Cityscapes office is an affordable alternative. The savvy real estate agent or broker or the educated investor, is aware that name recognition is important and yet in the real world does not necessarily translate to clients or business, but only offers a false sense of security.
It is my goal to establish that businesses are not built by name recognition alone, nor by the size of the office or operation. Businesses are established through relationships, a solid client base, legitimate product and most obviously, service. That said, we are also brand imaging Cityscapes, through our national and international contacts. We are truly globally connected, as well as being locally connected. A part of our proceeds generated from each office, will go towards this aspect of marketing. I have chosen to make this investment available to the average agent, broker or investor since the initial cost is such that one individual could purchase and maintain this size of investment by themselves. Whereas a larger investment could require needing multiple business partners to simply buy a name and then have to invest even more funds to have the business operational. The final benefits of a turnkey operation are two-fold. You commence business understanding your up- front investment to the operational level, but in addition to this we also strive to have each office open for business within 30 to 45 days depending on individual circumstances.
The Cityscapes Design Team provides all the labor and materials which allows, the agent or broker to continue to do what they do best while the office is being designed and completed; which is to sell real estate. For the real estate agents, there is no down time. So our goal is to receive a deposit and within 45 days or less the broker/agent can turn the key to open the door to his/her own business.
